WAFFLE DAY SPECIAL RECIPES – THAT EVERYONE CAN MAKE!
SOUR CREAM WITH FRESH BERRIES WAFFLE
Ingredients
2 cup Flour
1 tsp Corn flour
1 ½ tsp Baking soda
2 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Eggs
1 1/2 cups Milk
½ cup Berries
1 tsp Essence
1 tabs Butter
1/4 cup Maple syrup
- First, warm your Waffle iron.
- Mix the flour, corn flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
- Add the eggs and milk to the flour mixture. Beat until smooth.
- Pour 1/4-1/3 cup of batter onto the middle of a hot waffle iron sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Cook approximately 3-4 minutes, until waffles are light brown and fluffy.
- Serve topped with berries and serve with whipping cream or syrup.
MANGO TOPPING WAFFLE
Ingredients
2 1/4 cup Flour
1 tabs Baking powder
1 tsp Cornstarch
¼ cup Sugar
1 cup Mango
¾ tsp Salt
2 large Eggs
½ cup Butter melted
2 cups Milk
2 tsp Vanilla extract
Method
- Warm your Waffle iron first.
- In a large bowl whisk the flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar then set aside.
- Melt the butter in a small bowl. In a medium bowl whisk the milk, eggs and vanilla together. Stir in the melted butter.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry and mix until combined.
- Add about 1/3 cup of batter for each waffle.
- This will depend on the size of your waffle maker so feel free to experiment with amounts.
- Place on a wire rack until ready to serve so they stay crisp.
- Serve with chopped mango and ice cream.
