CREAMY FUDGE
Ingredients
1 can Sweet condensed milk½ tsp Pure vanilla essence
1 cup Chocolate, roughly diced
3 tabs Unsalted butter, at room temperature
Pinch of salt
Method
- Line an 8x8- inch square baking tray with baking paper. Set away.
- Place the chocolate and butter into a large microwave oven-safe bowl, and heat in 30 min, stirring after each one, until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the condensed milk, salt and vanilla until combined. The admixture will be veritably thick.
- Spread the admixture into the set tray, and smooth out the top.
- Chill for 2- 4 hours or overnight until fully set.
- Cut into the square and enjoy!
PERFECT BROWNIE
Ingredients
100g Butter, chopped
200g Dark chocolate, chopped
4 Eggs
250g Golden caster sugar
100g Plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
30g Cocoa
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees/ 160 degrees, and line a 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, add the butter and chocolate. Melt in the microwave in 30 second blasts, stirring for a minute in between until both chocolate and butter have fully melted and blended together.
- In a separate bowl, add the eggs and sugar and whisk together until they form a frothy, milk-shake like consistency.
- Fold in the chocolate & butter mixture to the egg and sugar mixture until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk or stir together the flour, cocoa and salt.
- Use a spatula to fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Don't overmix.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and smooth into an even layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with crumbs and not wet batter. If you want a gooey brownie, bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let brownies cool, then cut into squares.
