A MUST TRY DISH AT HOME

This Chinese-style mutton fried rice recipe is and always will be an Asian favourite! The best part about it is, it’s actually really easy to make and serves as a wonderful, appetizing and appealing main dish to go with a variety of other side dishes. Basically, the only ingredients you’ll need to cook up this specialty are a couple of eggs, a decent portion of mutton, an assortment of your favourite vegetables, some long grain rice and ghee for that extra little fattening.

This is a prefect dish that is great to serve as a one-pot meal lunch. The delectable blend of spicy flavours is sure to appease your taste buds.

MUTTON FRIED RICE RECIPE

Prep Time: 20 mins

Cook Time: 10-15 mins

Serves: 4

A single serving of yummy, Chinese-style mutton fried rice!

REQUIRED INGREDIENTS

METHOD

Soak the basmati rice for half an hour.

In a vessel, boil water and add the required amount of salt and add the rice. Cook the rice till it is almost cooked. Strain the water from the rice using a colander.

Pressure cook the mutton with a little water, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, pepper powder and garam masala till tender.

In a saucepan, add a little oil and fry the mutton pieces.

In a wok, add sesame oil, add the chopped onions and sauté.

Then add carrots, beans and capsicum and sauté till the veggies become crunchy. Add salt.

Now add the fried mutton pieces and sauté.

Add soy sauce and chilli sauce. Mix well.

Add the cooked basmati rice and mix well.

Finally add the scrambled eggs and mix well. Sprinkle little salt and pepper powder.

Voila! Your Mutton Fried Rice is ready.

Serve hot!

Note: Add pepper and salt to the scrambled eggs for added flavour.
